Appointments Advice

We use a system called MessageMyPractice which is a fast and easy way to ask for any kind of help from the practice.

  • Available all day and we respond during working hours Monday to Friday
  • We will usually get back to you within an hour (after 4.30pm it might be the next day)
  • The service is available through webchat, text message, email and WhatsApp. The text and WhatsApp number is 07537 186 515
  • The chat will be live and we hope to have a plan in place going forward such an appointment with an appropriate clinician.
  • We mainly provide same day appointments so we aim to deal with your problem within 24 hours of contacting us.
  • If you have a skin lesion or a rash we will usually ask you to upload a photo via our webchat or via WhatsApp.
  • You can also make prescription requests.
  • We can send you documents too, such patient information leaflets and information on where and how to seek healthcare.

If you prefer to phone, one of our receptionists will take a few details about your problem or request and then pass these to the GP. However you choose to get in touch, your GP will contact you quickly and either sort out your problem on the phone, by secure message, or arrange to see you the same day, or another day if that’s more convenient.

Please note you can no longer book a GP appointment using our previous online appointment system.

MessageMyPractice is available to all our patients, and you can use it to ask about your children or other people you care for (if they are registered with us).

We are encouraging everyone who has access to a computer, smart phone or tablet to use MessageMyPractice:

  • It saves you time, it saves everyone time and effort.
  • GPs can manage their time more effectively, booking any follow-up appointments you might need and,
  • It stops the 8-11 am rush for appointments as you can contact the practice at any time, and up to 4.30pm you get a response.
